Ethiopia Habtamu Fikadu Chelbesa

This incredible organic and fair-trade Ethiopian single-origin coffee is new to RoosRoast! It comes to us from our friends at Crop to Cup. Habtamu Fikadu Chelbesa is from a region in Ethiopia called Chelbesa known for producing expressive, high-quality coffees. The cherries are collected from smallholder outgrowers and brought to a local washing station managed by Kuri Mountain Coffee. The coffee is produced by Kuri Mountain Coffee. The company works to connect smallholder farmers with infrastructure while maintaining a more direct relationship with the coffee. For this lot, ripe cherries are pulped and fermented underwater for 48–72 hours, depending on temperature. They are then washed, submerged again for roughly 12 hours, and carefully dried on raised beds for 10–12 days, giving the coffee its clean and polished character. Habtamu Fikadu Chelbesa is crisp, clean, and smooth. The combination of Ethiopian terroir and careful washed processing creates a refined, refreshing cup with clarity from the first sip through a clean finish.
