RIO's Webster Lambotuka

RIO’s Webster Lambotuka is a matuka-style fly that is tied in a longer and larger profile than the original. This is a large streamer for targeting trophy trout, landlocked salmon, and freshwater bass. Here in Maine, it excels as a smelt imitation and will work well anywhere smelt or longer, slimmer-profiled baitfish are present. Like all flies in the Lambo series, the Lambotuka is heavily weighted and has one speed: fast. This fly has a very fast sink rate and needs to be stripped fast or swung through fast current to prevent it from hanging up on the bottom. This fly excels on a floating line, though it can be fished on an intermediate or sinking line if dredging the deepest holes on the biggest rivers is necessary.
