Each session focuses on a specific item, and under the guidance of Asa Nagao, you’ll bring tradition and creativity to life in your one-of-a-kind dinnerware set. Location Still Life Ferndale 700 Livernois St., Ferndale, MI 48220 Thursdays from 6:30-8:30 pm Class Outline Designed to improve your speed and consistency, this course will guide you through creating a complete table setting for two, plus an accessory kitchen piece to enjoy for generations. Each session focuses on a specific aspect: Week 1: Plates + Nesting Vessels Week 2: Cups + Utensils Week 3: Bowls + Texturing Week 4: Glazing Techniques It is recommended that you are already comfortable working with basic hand-building techniques. Everyone will be encouraged to have fun and enjoy this journey. About This Class To get the most out of this class, we recommend you feel comfortable with all of the steps and processes you learned in Beginning Handbuilding. SLS's recycled studio clay and bisque firing for up to 16 pieces are included in the class. Additional clay is available for purchase at our Clay + Supply Shop. For non-members, glaze firing is included in the course fee. You will need to supply your own tools: Signature All-Inclusive Pottery Tool Kit. Policies By enrolling in a class or workshop, you are acknowledging that you have read and understand the safety instructions and liability waiver. Cancellations made 4 or more days before the start of the class will be refunded. For cancellations made fewer than 4 full days, but more than 24 hours before the start time, a 50% refund or 50% credit toward another class or workshop will be issued. We cannot provide refunds or credits for cancellations or rescheduling requests made fewer than 24 hours before the start time of class, if you miss your class, or arrive too late to participate.
