The concentrated palate delivers terrific weight and plush texture, wonderfully framed by silky tannins, leading to a sustained, delicious finish.” COLOUR: Dark ruby red of good intensity with slow cherry purple tears on the swirl. NOSE: Clean developing ripe boysenberry and nutty raspberry cloaked in a warm vanilla toast. Complex and layered perfume. PALATE: Elegant and complex vibrant full-bodied flavours of raspberry fondant and damson plum woven into brittle cocoa powdered tannins with a satisfyingly long finish of a toasty pepper and sweet oak vapour. WINEMAKING: Fruit sourced from our fifty-year-old estate vines, a narrow section within our Block B Shiraz achieves maturity and physiological ripeness approximately 4 weeks after our estate harvest due to an undisclosed micro geological profile. The fruit is vinified in traditional open vats with the new wine sent to barrels for three years to maximise balance and harmony.
