https://doi.org/10.24031/1992-2043-2026-26-3-233-289 This article attempts to identify a number of legal issues considered in leases as contractual relationships in the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries, as well as possible solutions. The primary focus is on such components as the significance of the term in a lease and the problematic issues of the content of the parties’ obligations. Where appropriate, parallels are drawn with contemporary regulation of lease relations in Russia. Keywords: contract; lease; term in an obligation.
