The sought after Taupe Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph ref. 26420 marked a major update to the collection when it debuted in 2021, introducing a redesigned 43 mm case built around Audemars Piguet's manufacture Caliber 4401. Unlike earlier Offshore chronographs with modular movements, the 4401 is a fully integrated automatic flyback chronograph with a column wheel and a 70-hour power reserve. The smoked taupe 26420SO.OO.A600CA.01 stands out with its gradient light brown Méga Tapisserie dial, fading to black around the edges for a distinctive, contemporary look. The 43 mm stainless steel case features a black ceramic bezel, ceramic pushers and crown, sapphire crystal, and an exhibition caseback. The dial includes black chronograph subdials, white gold luminescent hands and markers, a tachymeter scale, and a date display at 4:30. The watch is fitted with a light brown interchangeable rubber strap, includes an additional black rubber strap, and is water resistant to 100 meters. This is an excellent example in pristine condition and keeps excellent time. The complete set includes the out box, inner box, booklets, wallet, black and olive straps, and warranty card.
