Fiddlehead

From the stunning 2024 vintage the Fiddlehead has emerged as one of our most distinct and pure examples of dry white wine. We make Auxerrois each year with the intention of blending it in the Edelzwicker style, but from 2024 the Auxerrois was so joyous on its own that we could not bare to blend it away. Rather, Fiddlehead is Auxerrois in pure form. From the Zenith Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA, Fiddlehead became fully ripe in mid September with dusty rose-colored, freckled grape skins. The wine is bright and dry with notes of pear and white peach, and with a bit of white pepper on the mid-palate. Fiddlehead is delicate, soft, and unexpectedly complex. 125 cases produced.
