Backroad Velcro | Original Abstract Landscape Painting

I never have a fixed outcome in mind when I begin these paintings. Starting with a loose structure, I respond to each layer as it's built, allowing the composition to evolve naturally. With Backroad Velcro, traces of winding roads and weathered farmland slowly emerged through the layers. I never set out to paint a particular landscape, preferring to leave that open so the viewer can discover their own sense of place. 40 x 40cm (43 x 43cm framed) Mixed Media on canvas.
