Eames designs are produced in Europe under an exclusive licence to Vitra Switzerland. The Designers Inspiration This design was a response to a perceived need at the time for a simple, modern, lightweight armchair of gracious form, able to adapt to many situations. And it continues to live up to these original design tenets, seen in residential and commercial projects worldwide.
