Powering the watch is the exceptionally rare Eberhard Calibre 16000 in its final production specification, distinguished by the addition of the Incabloc shock-protection system. Shortly afterwards, Eberhard discontinued this remarkable movement in favour of the Landeron 14000 used in the new Extra-Fort models, making this watch one of the very last and most desirable examples of the original manufacture chronograph. Its beautifully proportioned 40 mm stainless steel case features the highly sought-after stepped bezel, widely regarded by collectors as the most elegant and desirable case design ever used on the Pre Extra-Fort series. The crisp lines and balanced proportions give the watch an unmistakably refined yet purposeful appearance. The untouched original Eberhard dial belongs to the final execution of the model and displays the classic three-register layout, elegant Arabic numerals, the peripheral “Base 1000” tachymeter scale, and beautiful heat-blued steel hands. Mechanically, the watch retains the traditional two-pusher chronograph with its classic slide-operated system, reflecting the high-quality engineering that established Eberhard as a leading chronograph manufacturer. Accompanied by its original Eberhard presentation box, this exceptional timepiece is one of the rarest and most collectible Pre Extra-Fort chronographs ever produced, representing the final chapter of one of the most iconic chronograph families in vintage Swiss watchmaking before the birth of the legendary Extra-Fort line.
