'Silvery Rose' Strawflower Mix

Xerochrysum bracteatum Origin: Australia Improvement status: Cultivar Seeds per packet: ~100 Germination tested 03/2026: 92% Life cycle: Annual 'Silvery Rose' is an elegant mix of pink, magenta, and white strawflowers, all with characteristic yellow hearts. Truly a stunning flower, and excellent for fresh cut flowers or dry arrangements. Reaches roughly 3 feet in height. This Aster family species — formerly placed in the genus Helichrysum, but moved by the taxonomists to Xerochrysum in 1990 (though most seed companies still use the old name) — is native to Australia. These seeds were produced by our friends Cody Egan and Dylan Bruce of Driftless Seed Supply in Wisconsin. GROWING TIPS: Start one to two months early indoors for best results.
