Álvaro Palacios helped resurrect Priorat in the late 1980s after studying oenology in Bordeaux and working under Jean-Pierre Moueix at Château Pétrus, drawing inspiration from those benchmarks when he acquired Finca Dofí in 1990. Camins del Priorat sources from village vineyards across the DOQ, where llicorella — broken black slate and quartz — forces vines to root deep, yielding low-volume, mineral-driven reds at elevations ranging from 100 to 700 meters. The estate farms organically and biodynamically. This blend leads with 45% Garnacha alongside Samso (Cariñena), Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and 6% white grapes, delivering black cherry, raspberry, crushed slate, licorice, dried herbs, and graphite.
