In this special wheel throwing class, you’ll create your own set of beautiful handmade pasta plates, perfect for cozy dinners, dinner parties, or simply making everyday meals feel extra special. This is a 3-hour wheel throwing class focused entirely on throwing. You’ll learn how to make wide ceramic plates on the pottery wheel and leave with your own handmade pasta plate set. What’s included: 3 hours of hands-on instruction Learn wheel throwing techniques and how to shape large pasta plates, guided by me, an experienced production potter All materials provided Clay, tools, glaze and equipment are included. Just bring clothes and shoes you're not afraid to get dirty. Glazing included Your pieces will be professionally glazed by me after the class and ready for pick-up later. You’ll choose one glaze combination for the whole set. The goal: a set of 4 pasta plates If you’re feeling extra creative, you’re welcome to make more pieces during class. Pricing €115 per person, glazing included. Want to take your pieces to the next level? Add trimming for €15 per pot I can carefully trim your plates for a more refined and professional finish. Who is this class for? This class is open to all levels, including beginners. We’ll be using approximately 1 kg of clay per plate, so working with the clay can feel a little more physical than smaller pottery pieces. If you have hand or wrist injuries, this may not be the ideal class for you. That said, don’t worry! I’ll show you plenty of tricks and techniques to make centering and shaping large amounts of clay much easier than you might expect. I’m very excited about this class and can’t wait to see everyone’s pasta plate sets come to life. Pick-up Your pieces will be ready in about 5–7 weeks, depending on the studio firing schedule. Once they’re ready, I’ll notify you by email and you can pick them up during opening hours.
