The DEG Signature 2000 LA Model is one of the rarer configurations in Donald E. Getzen’s highly regarded Signature 2000 series — and rarer still in D trumpet pitch. The leadpipe serial 2096 confirms this as the LA (lead) model: a lightweight 5″ bell instrument built for maximum brightness and quick response, with Monel pistons and ML (.460″) bore. D trumpets are specialist instruments, most commonly used for baroque and high register repertoire, and this example is in very good condition. A minor service is recommended but not required.
