The three phases of the moon are said to be like the three phases of women- the maiden, the mother, and the crone. The archetype is seen in various mythological figures, such as the Greek goddesses Artemis (Maiden), Selene (Mother), and Hecate (Crone), or Persephone, Demeter, and Hecate. The triple moon has come to be a meaningful symbol to modern day witches. Our necklace is made of recycled brass plated in 18K gold with three cubic zirconia stones and a full moon center in mother of pearl shell.
