Burn the Boards Workshop

Our Burn the Boards Workshop has been very popular and its fun! This beginner-friendly creative session where you’ll use wood-burning tools to etch stunning designs into beautiful timber serving boards and coasters. Whether you’re coming solo, bringing a mate, or friend group for a creative outing, this workshop is perfect for all skill levels. This beautiful class is hosted by our very own Fringe resident Shaz from Hello! Lovely workshops who also hosts our Hat burning classes. If you have ever been to one of her workshops – you will know the little details and love she pours into her classes. Across two relaxed hours, she’ll guide you step-by-step through the entire process, from choosing a beginner-friendly design to creating a polished, sealed final piece. With loads of templates to pick from, you can go bold, go simple, or create something wonderfully personalised. What you’ll learn: Tips for choosing designs and materials How to transfer your design onto timber How to safely and effectively use wood-burning tools How to finish, seal, and care for your boards and coasters. Expect small group sizes, plenty of laughs, and all the creative support you need. You’ll walk away with a gorgeous handmade board and a pair of round thick edge coasters – ideal for entertaining at home or gifting to someone special.
