CTL 2026 - Sunset Photo Walk on the Waterfront (Seattle, WA)

Free with RSVP for Chase The Light 2026 Participants (must be registered as a participant for Chase The Light to participate in the photo walk). FACULTY Kate Hailey DATE June 13, 2026 | Saturday 7:30-9:30pm FORMAT In-person LOCATION Meet at Pike Plate Market Sundeck | 1901 Western Ave Seattle, WA 98101 Chase the sunset light along the Seattle waterfront during this photo walk with Kate Hailey. We'll gather on the sundeck at Pike Place to experience and capture views of Elliott Bay, Overlook Walk, and more. From there we will explore Overlook Walk as the daylight fades into that golden hour glow, later heading to the Seattle Waterfront and Pier 62 for sunset which is around 9pm. This area offers a variety of subject matter from street scenes, to urban landscapes and landscapes where the water meets the mountains. What to Bring: Your favorite film / digital camera Consider 1-2 lens options: something in the 35-50mm range for street photography, or something a little wider to take in the broad city and landscapes Tripods are optional Comfortable walking shoes are a must, and layers are smart for that classic PNW weather.
