We are not escaping the present; instead, we have decided to remain in it. Leisurely, with curiosity. Rather than searching for traces of the next big trend, we paid attention to the subtler vibrations: an architect mixing cocktails at home; a walk in Taormina; the rhythms of Korean film music; or those moments when we find ourselves utterly immersed in Moldova—and even when we consider design, we reflect not only on its form but on its manner and meaning. These are the small moments which, if one gathers enough of them, eventually mark out a direction. For perhaps the true discovery of 2026 will not be that we find something new, but that we relearn how to notice.
