Luther Conover Unique Mohair Daybed, 1950s
This striking and distinctive daybed was likely made by Luther Conover in the 1950s. The daybed features a black lacquered steel frame with a thick attached seat cushion and mahogany arms on either end. The seat has been freshly restored with brand new foam and beautiful mohair upholstery. As well as a daybed, this piece would also work as a long bench. While the form is similar to other Conover designs, we've never seen another example of this exact design. The previous owner was a fervent collector of Luther Conover and had some unique pieces in his collection. Dimensions: 82.75"W x 32"D x 23"H Seat Height: 15.5" Seat Depth: 24.75"
