Little Red
Acer palmatum 'Little Red' An upright Japanese Maple with a somewhat narrow form. I would consider this a semi-dwarf. I have seen it tall and narrow and also smaller and more compact. The spring leaves are bright cherry-red, changing to medium red for summer. The color holds very well throughout the season. Originated as a witches' broom mutation. Discovered by Crispin Silva. The fall color is bright scarlet. HARDINESS ZONES 5-9 GROWTH HABIT Upright 10 YR HEIGHT 5-6 ft EXPOSURE Sun or Part sun
