2022 Domaine Anne et Hervé Sigaut Chambolle Musigny 1 x 6 (in bond)
Since 1990, Anne and Hervé have been dedicated to transforming their 7-hectare property, resulting in exceptional wines and rave reviews. By adopting organic practices, reducing yields, ploughing by horse, and using minimal intervention in the winery. Their Chambolle Musigny features 40-year-old vines grown in 4 distinct parcels. With minimal use of oak (10% new) and no fining or filtration, this wine is text book example of the village. Bright and elegant, the 2022 opens on red cherry, raspberry, and a hint of rose petal, lifted by gentle spice and soft earth. Silky tannins carry the fresh red fruit across the palate, with a touch of minerality keeping the wine precise and focused. The finish is clean, lingering, and quietly persistent, with cherry and a whisper of spice. Approachable now, but it has the balance to develop gracefully over the next several years.
