【Jazz Future: Cyan Chan x Yam Wong】 在香港新一代爵士樂手中，主音兼低音提琴手 Cyan Chan 與鋼琴手 Yam Wong 均是近年活躍於各大音樂節與演出場地的亮眼名字。兩位音樂家同為爵士女聲組合 Jazz S.H.E. 的成員，長期建立的默契讓她們在合作中展現出獨特的藝術共鳴 Cyan 從小接受古典音樂訓練，其後轉向爵士，並選擇同時以人聲與Double Bass作為主要表達工具。她曾與夏韶聲及美國樂團 Snarky Puppy 成員 Justin Stanton 等資深音樂家合作，展現出多樣的音樂面向。 而 Yam 畢業於音樂系，主修鋼琴並副修爵士樂， 深受Swing與Modern Jazz影響，同樣是一位兼具紮實古典根基與爵士思維的鋼琴家。同時，作為一名資深教育者，Yam 擁有超過十年的教學經驗，近年更積極走入校園與社區推廣爵士樂，將這門藝術以更平實、更易理解的方式介紹給大眾。 是次演出曲目涵蓋經典爵士標準曲，以及多首重新編排的流行作品，選曲橫跨 YoYo Sham、Walter Kwan，以至 Gretchen Parlato、Fred Hersch 等創作者。將傳統爵士語境與當代流行元素進行揉合與重組，讓歌曲在爵士語境中重新被聆聽。一向以鋼琴演奏見長的 Yam 也將在演出中罕見獻聲，為觀眾帶來耳目一新的嘗試。 Among the new generation of Hong Kong jazz musicians, vocalist & bassist Cyan Chan and pianist Yam Wong are prominent figures across the city's major festivals. As fellow members of the vocal ensemble Jazz S.H.E., they bring a deep-seated chemistry and artistic resonance to their collaborations. Cyan Chan, classically trained before transitioning to jazz, uniquely utilizes both vocals and the double bass as her primary expressive tools. Her versatility has led to collaborations with veteran artists such as Danny Summer and Justin Stanton of Snarky Puppy. Partnering with her is Yam Wong, a pianist who blends a solid classical foundation with a sophisticated jazz sensibility. Influenced by Swing and Modern Jazz, Yam is also a seasoned educator who has spent over a decade promoting jazz within local communities in an accessible, grounded manner. This performance features a blend of jazz standards and rearranged pop songs, spanning works by Yoyo Sham and Walter Kwan to contemporary jazz figures like Gretchen Parlato and Fred Hersch. By weaving together traditional jazz language and contemporary elements, the duo allows these melodies to be heard anew.
