GR-WM4-V3 24V DC 68rpm Worm Gear Motor with Encoder

The GR-WM4-V3 is a third-generation 24V DC nominal motor and gearbox combination providing a high-torque output via a robust single stage all-metal worm-and-wheel transmission. The gearbox, at 60:1 ratio, is self-locking in most applications, allowing output positions to be maintained when power is off (although some atypical severe-vibration or reversing-load-direction applications may be exceptions). The gearbox produces less noise in operation than many similarly sized transmissions. The output offers a maximum no-load speed of 68rpm at 24V, and speed of 55rpm when under a 5.8Nm (59kg-cm) rated load, making it suitable for many automation projects. To avoid overheating, the output is rated to a maximum of 40% duty, up-to 2 minutes continuous at the rated load. A 12PPR quadrature encoder on the motor allows the output to be tracked, with 720 signal pulses per revolution of the output shaft, enabling precise speed or position control and allowing multiple motors to be synchronised with an appropriate controller.
