Hibiscus coccineus (Texas Star Hibiscus)

Texas Star Hibiscus is a very showy perennial with large red blooms. It prefers moist soil but will adapt to the drier conditions as long as it gets supplemental water in the summer. It blooms best with consistent water and in full sun, and attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Texas Star Hibiscus is a good choice for rain gardens.
