Vintage Blue Cased Glass Pitcher with Chunky Form
A small glass pitcher with a soft, slightly inflated shape and chunky proportions. The milky blue tone gives it a calm, almost glowing look, while the wide and low form and narrow neck keep it a little offbeat. Likely made in Europe in the late 1900s, in a style that echoes Scandinavian studio glass. It has some of the same character as pieces by Erik Höglund for Boda, but with a more polished, controlled finish. Hand-blown and finished by hand, with small variations typical to unique, handmade pieces. An easy one to place and use. Great for serving water or something a bit more special, and can also work as a vase, but just as good on its own. Adds a soft pop of colour. ✦ Height 16 cm, base 14 × 14 cm ✦ Material: Hand-blown cased glass ✦ Period: Likely late 1900s ✦ Origin: Likely European ✦ Excellent vintage condition - light wear consistent with age
