“I’ve Got This” Card Deck

Big feelings don’t always come with an explanation. Sometimes kids know that something feels off, but figuring out what’s happening in their body, why it might be happening, and what could help is the hard part. The “I’ve Got This” Card Deck is a practical, neurodiversity-affirming tool designed to help kids build body awareness, better understand their own regulation needs, and find supportive strategies they can actually use. Instead of labeling a response as “good” or “bad,” the deck guides kids through a simple Notice, Think, Try process. They’ll practice checking in with their body, identifying what they’re experiencing, considering what might be contributing to it, and exploring what could help them feel more comfortable or regulated. The deck includes eight different real-life experiences, covering moments when feelings, sensory input, transitions, worries, demands, movement needs, and more can feel especially hard. Each card gives kids a structured way to work through the moment without expecting them to simply “calm down.” The included body-awareness tools also introduce interoception, helping kids practice noticing the signals their bodies are sending and connecting those signals with what they may need.
