Whitby Mug - Set of Six

Whitby looks as though its walls were pinched while the clay was still soft, leaving shallow facets all the way round and a chunky, uneven loop handle that is easy to hook a finger through. It holds a generous 300ml, enough for a proper coffee at your desk, and the toasted brown rim frames the drink each time you lift it.A pale grey-white glaze with a warm brown lip reads crisply on dark, dramatic surfaces; on black and gold marble beside a bouclé sofa, it stands out cleanly. It also suits oatmeal textiles and walnut, and pairs with our Rosalind Plate for a pale, textured breakfast set.
