Skinning Knife Don Carlos

The skinning knife from F. HERDER is a butchering knife for pulling off the hide. The blade is ground with a belly and runs out into an upswept point.This shape is deliberate: the curved edge delivers a long cutting stroke with every pull, while the upward-facing point turns away from the hide and avoids punctures. The work is done by drawing, not by stabbing.Four blade lengths are available: 14 cm for tight areas, 21 cm as the standard size, and 26 and 31.5 cm for large surfaces and long strokes. The plastic handle is insensitive to moisture and easy to clean; besides green, the 14 cm version comes in red and the 21 cm version additionally in glitter green.The blade carries the engraving Friedr. Herder Abr. Sohn, the marking SOLINGEN GERMANY STAINLESS, the spade symbol with the lettering PIKAS as well as the series lettering Don Carlos.Made by F.
