Each spring, before the heat sets in, Bhutanese herders gather the soft undercoat that baby yaks shed as they moult. Artisans hand spin it into one of the lightest, warmest wools in the world. Softer than sheep's wool, with none of the itch. Down the spine, a hand-woven panel features symbols traditionally worn for protection and blessing. The more you wear it, the softer it gets. Made to last decades, then be passed down.
