Chateau Lalande-Borie Saint-Julien

91/100 - The 2015 Lalande-Borie has a clean and composed bouquet with blackberry, cedar and light floral tones, well defined and perhaps one of the prettiest that I have encountered in recent years. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, very harmonious with neatly embroidered new oak. I admire the precision here and that graphite seam toward the finish lends both freshness and an almost Pauillac-like personality. Excellent. (Feb. 2018) - Neal Martin, Wine Advocate 90/100 - The 2015 Lalande-Borie is gracious, understated and classy. There is lovely aromatic lift to perk up the dark red and purplish berry flavors. Silky, medium in body and gracious, Lalande-Borie shows the more feminine side of Saint-Julien to great effect. The blend is 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon.
