Arcadia - So Red The Rose - LP

Format: LP Label: Capitol Records, Tritec Music Ltd., Tritec Music Ltd., Tritec Music Ltd., EMI Records Ltd., Masterdisk, Capitol Records, Inc., EMI, Masterdisk Catalog number: SV-12428 Country: US Arcadia’s So Red The Rose invites a more attentive kind of listening with its intimate blend of acoustic textures and carefully arranged instrumentation. The album’s reflective mood unfolds through tracks like “Election Day” and “Keep Me In The Dark,” where subtle musical details reveal themselves over time. This 1985 vinyl pressing offers a chance to explore the project’s nuanced approach to focused, small ensemble sound, standing apart from more bombastic productions of its era. It’s the kind of record where the quiet moments speak just as loudly as the arrangements, making it a thoughtful listen for anyone interested in layered, deliberate songwriting. This particular copy is graded VG, indicating it shows noticeable signs of use and may have some background noise but remains fully playable. The 12-inch format presents the album with clear labeling and artwork that complements its understated tone. While the pressing year is 1985, it’s best taken as a snapshot of the album’s availability rather than a collector’s marker. If you’re after a pressing that delivers So Red The Rose in a straightforward package without the polish of newer editions, this one fits the bill — perfect for those who don’t mind a few vinyl wrinkles in exchange for genuine listening time. After all, even a rose has its thorns.
