Nakshi Carved Piri Set

Carved entirely by hand, this nakshi piri set carries detailed relief work along the seat edge and legs. Every piece is made from a single block of wood, giving it weight, strength and a smooth continuous grain that no jointed stool can match. The natural wood tone is sealed with a matte polish that highlights the carving instead of hiding it. Measuring 18 inches in height and 20 inches in width, each piri offers a comfortable, stable seat for wedding ceremonies, gaye holud and puja. Supplied as a matched pair. Because the carving is done by hand, small variations between the two pieces are natural and are part of the craft.
