The palate is supple and generous, with lively red fruit, fine tannins and bright acidity leading to an elegant finish. Autrement’s bright fruit and savoury detail make it a versatile choice for pairing with roast duck or duck breast with a cherry glaze, herb-roasted chicken, mushroom risotto or wild mushroom pasta and grilled salmon or tuna. Autrement is inviting to drink now, but its fruit concentration, acidity and fine tannins offer good reason to keep a few bottles. Moss Wood expects further development over the next five years, with more earthy and mushroom notes emerging at seven to ten years of age.
