Italian mid century modern teak desk by IMB, 1960s

The stylish Italian mid-century teak desk from the 1960s showcases the refined aesthetics typical of that era. It’s a part of the dekor series produced by IMB – Industria Mobili Barovero. The overall dimensions are H: 85 / W: 100 / D: 65 cm. The desk has a two-level tabletop, a practical solution that might still be useful these days as a screen or lamp stand. Another practical feature is lockable drawers. The drawer fronts are joined using traditional dovetail joints, demonstrating the high level of craftsmanship typical of high end furniture of the period. This desk is a beautiful example of 1960s Italian design—functional, stylish, and thoughtfully crafted with a balance of materials and form. Additional details: width for legs 77 cm, internal drawers’s height: 8 cm, the small drawer’s height: 4 cm, the upper tabletop size is 100 cm in wide, 25 cm depth. The desk has been renovated thoroughly. We have made sure that drawers work smoothly. The wood has been cleaned and finished with layers of satin lacquer for extra protection and a low-luster mid-century look. Overall, the desk is in perfect renovated condition. Two original keys and the producer label has been preserved.
