Ferrand Le Renegade No. 5 Fiji Islands Rum Cask Finish

The Ferrand Le Renegade No. 5 Fiji Islands Rum Cask Finish is an eau-de-vie-de vin from Maison Ferrand with a maturation in Fiji rum casks. That’s the reason they don’t call this a cognac but an eau-de-vie-de vin instead. It got distilled in 2014 and matured for over 10 years in French oak casks followed by an 8 months finish in Planteray Fiji Islands rum barrels from 2008. This Le Renegade release got bottled in 2026 at 46,3% ABV as a limited release of 2.000 bottles. Nose: powerful and exotic with aromas of raisins, pear, apricot, flambeed banana, pineapple and mango followed by ginger, black pepper, lemon zest, toasted coconut, vanilla, honey and a hint of smoke Palate: rich and structured with tropical fruit, dark caramel, nutmeg, candied ginger, cocoa and sweetwood.
