Gibson Les Paul Standard | Iced Tea Sunburst | 2001 | USA

A very nice example of an early 2000’s era Les Paul Standard, finished in classic Tea Sunburst over a carved maple top and solid mahogany body. This guitar, built in 2001 has been well played in, with a bit of buckle rash and light scratches, giving it a vintage feel without the 6 figure price tag. This guitar is solid and free from any structural issues. There is a crack at the treble side of the neck pickup ring which doesn’t affect playability. It has a nice, slightly slim feeling medium C profile neck and the frets have plenty of life in them. This guitar has a snappy, lively tone to it acoustically. At 7.9k in the neck and 12.3k in the bridge, this guitar has a nice balance between the pickups, offering a slightly under wound, clearer neck pickup with a strong, hotter wound bridge pickup. Pickups are believed to be original Gibson humbuckers. Likely a 490R in the neck and 498T in the bridge. If desired we can remove them to inspect the underside to confirm this. At 4.78fk/10.54lb, this guitar is substantial, with a dense, solid mahogany body. Cosmetically, the guitar has the classic Les Paul look, with light ageing from its 25 year existence. A great Les Paul that has clearly been enjoyed and is ready for the next rock and roll chapter. ______________________________ Brand: Gibson Model: Les Paul Country: USA Year: 2001 Serial: 0145XXXX Case: OHSC Body: Tea Sunburst Neck: Natural Finish: Nitro Body Material: Mahogany/Maple Neck Material: Mahogany Fretboard Material: Rosewood Scale Length: 24 3/4” Frets: 22 Radius: 12” Profile: Medium C Action (Low E): 1.7mm Nut: 42.7mm 12th Fret: String Width at Bridge: 51mm 1st Fret Depth: 20.4mm 12th Fret Depth: 24.9mm Pickups: Humbucker Resistance: Neck = 7.9k Bridge = 13.3k Electronics: Original Knobs: Speed knobs Pick Guard: Off white Tuners: Grover Hardware: Chrome Damage: Cracked neck pickup ring, buckle rash and medium scratches Weight: 4.78 kg/10.54 lbs
