Jack-O-Lantern Cowboy | Halloween Art | Caya Crum
Somebody has to ride the candy out to the far houses. Jack-O-Lantern Cowboy — Halloween Art by Caya Crum A cowboy with a jack-o-lantern for a head rides a gray horse through a bare autumn wood, crescent moon overhead, his own pumpkin glowing like a second one. He has a red bandana, a harlequin saddle blanket, and a trick-or-treat bag with a smiling pumpkin on it, and he is leaving a trail of pink candy behind him in the grass. Whether that is generosity or a hole in the bag, the painting does not say. Caya Crum painted it in gouache in the fall of 2026, and it is the gentlest kind of Halloween painting: no gore, no fright, just a headless-horseman cousin who turned out friendly and went into the candy business. It reads like vintage Halloween art, the paper-decoration kind people collect, with the western slant that runs through everything Caya makes. A limited edition of 50 This one is not printed to order like the rest of the shop. It is a limited edition of 50 signed giclée prints at 11 x 14 inches, and when the fiftieth one leaves the studio, that is the end of it. The original gouache painting has already sold. Where He Rides in Your House He is Halloween wall art that does not have to come down on November 1: the oranges and browns carry straight through Thanksgiving, and plenty of people will leave him up all year beside the rest of their western art. He makes a good entryway piece for the house that hands out full-size bars, and a good gift for the friend who starts decorating in September.
