It is presented as a flat non-woven pad for application to open wounds, as well as a rope for packing of wound cavities. For use with moderate to heavy exuding wounds, including superficial or deep wounds, such as: Pressure sores Arterial ulcers Venous leg ulcers Diabetic ulcers Post-operative wounds Benefits: The silver-impregnated calcium alginate fibers, when in contact with wound exudate or blood, form a gel which creates a moist optimal wound healing environment.
