Venom Target Baitcast Rod

Description Accurate casting has become increasingly important in hard-fished water, and with live sonar now widespread in lakes and dams, placing a lure precisely matters more than ever. The Wilson Venom Target baitcast range was designed around exactly that. The Target models use a hand-and-a-half butt arrangement, which lets you cast underhand when pitching lures on the scope or flicking them up under overhanging mangroves, while still giving you enough butt to cast two-handed overhand when you need distance. A full EVA rear grip means the rod can sit in a scope pole while you deal with the fish you just landed, and can go into metal rod holders for trolling without damaging the blank. The Jerkbait models in the range are a separate build: 6'8" blanks with a split cork rear grip and a lockdown EVA foregrip, aimed at fishing jerkbaits in the scope with maximum feel and control. Across the range the rods suit a broad spread of work, including but not limited to barra, bass and cod, on everything from heavy jighead-rigged plastics to the largest swimbaits.
