2027 $1 UNCIRCULATED TWO-COIN SET - YEAR OF THE GOAT

The Royal Australian Mint presents the 2027 Year of the Goat Uncirculated Two-Coin Set, featuring two new $1 reverse designs and outer packaging inspired by traditional Chinese 'red packets'. The Goat is the eighth of the twelve signs in the Chinese zodiac. According to legend, twelve animals participated in a race across a river to allow the Jade Emperor to establish the order of the zodiac signs. The Goat finished in eighth place, followed by the Monkey and the Rooster; the three animals had worked together to cross the river on a raft. People born in the Year of the Goat are said to be creative and compassionate. One coin features the Goat on the reverse, while the other depicts the lunar calendar wheel with the Goat at the top of the wheel. Both coins feature the Daniel Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III on the obverse. The set is packaged in an auspicious red and gold card with outer box.
