Children remove the colorful wooden pieces, reveal the picture underneath, then work from the largest frame toward the center to complete the puzzle again. A piece may need a little turn before it settles into place. That moment of testing and adjusting helps children understand size and position while strengthening hand-eye coordination through every attempt. 🧩 Builds shape recognition as children connect each nested piece with its matching board 🧩 Develops spatial awareness through layered puzzles and size comparison 🧩 Strengthens fine motor control as children lift, rotate, and carefully position each piece 🧩 Encourages independent thinking by giving children room to test their own solutions ***** Confidence takes shape! “We started with one puzzle, and now he happily sorts pieces from several boards. He always knows when something does not belong.” Norah C. / Verified Buyer Mix it up. Match it back. Parents can begin with one familiar shape and introduce more boards as their child becomes confident. Children can sort mixed pieces into the correct groups or arrange the loose frames by size. They can also use the pieces to make colorful patterns of their own. A gift that fits right in Smart Shapes makes a thoughtful birthday or holiday gift for children who enjoy figuring things out with their hands. The six puzzles offer a satisfying challenge, while the open-ended pieces give children new ways to play beyond the boards.
