FPL058 - Kurzy Piano - Korg Wavestate

Added by Fabio Kurzy Piano - Korg Wavestate - Description Kurzy Piano for Korg Wavestate is a sample-based piano library inspired by the distinctive sound of the Kurzweil K2600, bringing the character of a classic digital workstation piano into Korg's modern synthesis environment. Featuring 3 custom Performances built around a dedicated piano multisample, Kurzy Piano explores different musical applications of the same keyboard sound, combining traditional piano character with atmospheric layering and contrasting performance variations. Its musical identity is rooted in the recognizable character of classic workstation pianos, offering an alternative tonal palette for musicians seeking expressive keyboard sounds beyond the Wavestate's factory collection. The Character of a Classic Workstation Piano The Kurzweil K2600 belongs to an important generation of professional digital workstations, recognized for their synthesis capabilities and extensive keyboard sound libraries. Kurzy Piano draws on this heritage through sampled piano material, bringing a K2600-inspired tonal character into the Wavestate's sample-based architecture. The collection focuses on piano expression, keyboard range and musical versatility, providing a sampled foundation for melodic passages, harmonic accompaniment and contemporary arrangements. Its approach combines the character of a traditional workstation piano with the additional possibilities offered by Korg's synthesis environment. Three Complementary Piano Performances Kurzy Piano includes three Performances that explore different applications of its sampled piano material. K2600 Piano & Pad MW combines piano and synthesizer pad textures, introducing an atmospheric dimension suited to expressive melodies, sustained harmonies and layered keyboard arrangements. K2600 Piano Echoes explores a more spacious interpretation of the piano, extending its musical character towards atmospheric passages and electronic compositions. K2600 Piano Ragtime offers a contrasting piano variation with a more rhythm-oriented identity, complementing the collection's layered and atmospheric sounds. Together, these Performances provide three approaches to the K2600-inspired piano character, from more traditional keyboard playing to broader electronic textures. Custom Multisampling for Korg Wavestate At the centre of Kurzy Piano is a dedicated K2600 piano multisample, accompanied by 17 WAV recordings distributed across different notes of the keyboard. The supplied material uses Korg's .korgmultisample format, while the three Performances are provided as individual .wsperf files. This structure allows the sampled piano material to be integrated into the Wavestate sound engine and used through its Performance architecture. The result is a focused piano expansion that combines sampled workstation character with Korg's flexible synthesis environment. Musical Expression for Stage and Studio Kurzy Piano is intended for keyboard players who appreciate the distinctive sound of classic digital instruments and want to incorporate that character into their current Wavestate setup. Its combination of piano articulation, pad layering and contrasting sound variations provides material for pop, melodic electronic music, ambient compositions and keyboard-oriented arrangements. The library can be used for expressive melodic passages, atmospheric introductions, songwriting and studio production, offering a compact alternative to the instrument's existing piano sounds. Kurzy Piano brings the familiar character of a Kurzweil K2600-inspired piano to Korg Wavestate through custom multisampling and three complementary Performances, combining classic keyboard identity with modern sound design possibilities.
