Hand-Embroidered Pouch by Rodayna

A rectangular zip pouch in black fabric, decorated with red knotted embroidery and vertical white detailing, accented with small gold-toned sequins. The repeating pattern draws on traditional Yemeni stitches, motifs and colour palettes, while a soft grey tassel adds a delicate finishing touch. This hand-embroidered pouch was made by Rodayna, a young participant in YENOF’s education and embroidery programme. After first enrolling in school through YENOF with her sister, Rodayna learned embroidery during after-school hours and holidays, developing skills that support both her education and personal growth. In 2025, she also took part in YENOF’s embroidery preservation project, helping celebrate Yemen’s rich and living cultural heritage. Handmade and intricately detailed, this is a one-of-a-kind piece, with only one available.
