This program is designed for students who want to jumpstart their learning and know their way around the decks fast. In just four weeks, you’ll learn everything from track selection and reading a room to the important technical skills needed, such as beatmatching, looping, hot cues, EQing, FX, and transitions. This program is designed for anyone who wants to be confident DJing, whether it is at home, in front of a small crowd, or in a club. We’ll be practicing on pro DJ gear, and by the end of this course,you’ll feel confident playing in front of a crowd. All you need to bring is a laptop, headphones, and a USB drive. We’ll have a variety of pro DJ gear in the classroom for you to learn about and practice with. What will I accomplish? By the end of the course, you’ll know how to perform on a pro DJ setup. You’ll feel confident DJing in front of a crowd, knowing the equipment inside out. You’ll also be familiar with beginner to advanced DJ techniques, from beatmatching to using FX for complex transitions. Who is this course for? What are the prerequisites? This course is for anyone who wants to DJ confidently, whether you have never DJ'ed before or you consider yourself a beginner. You don’t have to have any prior experience taking this class. What is the class structure? Our classes are very hands-on and practical, so you’ll be applying techniques right away and practicing what you learn. You’ll be working on performing small mixes throughout the class and slowly practicing new techniques. Our size classes are kept small, with a maximum of 10 students, so you’ll have plenty of attention from the experts. What happens if I miss a class?
