A Proper Hell's Angel (1/10), 2026 Before there was even a sniff of Gonzo, Ralph was already embracing the essence of counter-culture and embedding it into his work. This charming cartoon was penned in the 1960's years before his fate changing meeting with Hunter S. Thompson at the 1970 Kentucky Derby. Thompson was probably still deeply entrenched in his time with the Hell's Angels which resulted with being beaten to within an inch of his life before publishing his first novel about his experiences in 1967.
