American Nymph

Grab your red, white, and blue man-tanks and bandanas, crack open a cold, crispy beverage, throw on your aviators, and grab your favorite rod because it’s the Independence Day every day when throwing the American Nymph. The pheasant tail version hunts trout, especially as a point fly, in streams across the country, and as a bonus is a staple for chasing finicky carp. Tie on the chartreuse model as the top brim fly available. The American Nymph is for all you barrel-chested patriots out there who enjoy catching fish while flexing your cultural spirit… or you can just fish it for the sake of catching fish; either way works. Like any nymph, fish on whatever weight rod you want.
