Plum, Lovita from France

The Lovita plum is a striking, heart-shaped variety with vibrant red flesh and distinctive green-speckled red skin. Its flavor profile is notably sweet and juicy, with a high sugar content balanced by a pleasant, moderate acidity that keeps it refreshing rather than cloying. The flesh is firm, crisp, and deeply aromatic, making Lovita ideal for eating fresh as a dessert plum, but also versatile in both sweet and savory applications – think tarts, clafoutis, compotes, sorbets, or paired with duck, foie gras, and roasted meats.
