At the heart of it is FBX, a unified power architecture developed with Bafang that links the battery, motor and controller into one intelligent system, paired with a 48V 15Ah Samsung battery and a 500W motor delivering 95Nm of torque for confident, efficient takeoff and steady cruising around Sydney. The upgraded V3 front suspension and single-speed Shimano setup strike a great balance between comfort and simplicity, taking the sting out of rough surfaces up front while keeping maintenance low with no gears to fuss over. Responsive handling and rubber puncture-resistant tyres make it easy to control and reliable across daily trips, bike paths and longer weekend rides. All Fatboy Bikes models have a maximum continuous rated power of 250 watts at 20 km/h, or 500 watts at 25 km/h with a maximum load of 180 kg to align with EPAC legislation. The throttle is strictly intended for use on private property and must be isolated when riding in public. It can be disabled, but it is not limited to 6 km/h as required by EPAC standards.
