Single-speed or 2-speed: the E:STEPPI.LEO is the step-through version of the E:LEONARDO, a titanium smart e-bike that keeps the feel of a traditional ride, with the Gen3 Zehus all-in-one rear hub putting the motor, battery and electronics in the rear wheel, with no external wiring. The light, corrosion-resistant titanium frame naturally damps vibration for a smooth, composed ride in town and on mixed terrain. Designed and built to order in London from brand-new, latest-generation parts, with no old stock or old specs. Motor The Gen3 Zehus hub has a 250W motor and up to 40Nm of torque, with seamless pedal assist up to 25 km/h. The battery is ~200Wh and gives an average range of 30 km in Turbo to 50 km in Eco, according to Zehus. The hub weighs about 3.2kg. The battery, wheel speed sensor and pedal torque sensor are all integrated in the hub, so there are no separate sensors or battery cables. Four power modes, set in the Zehus app: Off, Eco, Custom and Turbo. KERS tops up the battery as you back-pedal, or from the remote. Its strength is adjustable in the app. In Off mode you ride on pedal power alone, and the back-pedal regenerative brake stays available. It's ready for the future: to upgrade to the latest motor, just order a new all-in-one wheel. Battery pack rated to last up to 15,000 km. Compliant with EU EPAC regulations, and backed by the Zehus service network. IPX4 protection, for use from -10 to +40 °C. App lock and wireless control: set it once and ride, or use the optional remote, the app or a SIGMA bike computer. Compatible SIGMA bike computers: ROX 2.0, ROX 4.0 (incl. Endurance), ROX 11.1 EVO, ROX 12.1 EVO and EOX VIEW 700, 1300 and 1500, with Zehus firmware 0.5 or later. They connect via Bluetooth and show the assist mode and battery status. Gearing It's single-speed as standard, with optional internal two-speed gearing. You ride at a relaxed cadence while the motor gets you up to speed, with no endless gear changes and no fidgety derailleurs. Optional Speed-Drive 2-speed crankset An ultra-thin planetary gearbox sits in the crankset. Shift with a tap of your heel. The ratios are 1x direct drive and 1.65x overdrive, matched to the motor's power band, with full torque in both pedalling directions. There are no cables, levers or derailleurs. You ride at a relaxed cadence, with no constant gear changes. Build Strong, light, corrosion-resistant titanium tubes. Low step-through tube from head tube to seat tube for easy mounting. Gates Carbon belt drive for silent, grease-free running (chain option available). Front and rear hybrid-hydraulic disc brakes plus KERS, with quickly replaceable compressionless housing. Aluminium rims, seat post, handlebars and stem, with any handlebar shape you like. Saddle and grips in brown microsuede or sport black (let us know when ordering). Aluminium pedals, with optional stainless steel toe clips. Choice of 32mm Schwalbe tyres. Eyelets for mudguards and a rack. Neutral handling, because both electric and pedal power go to the rear wheel. Easy to service or upgrade, with sealed bearings, external cable routing and no proprietary standards.
