Lighthouse Circle

When the fog rolls in and the harbor disappears, one thing still shows the way: the slow, steady sweep of the lighthouse. For generations, keepers climbed the spiral stairs every evening to light the lamp, so fishing boats and late ferries could find their way back past the rocks. This scene honors that quiet promise, a tall spiral-striped tower standing firm on a rugged point, with gulls circling its gallery as if checking in before nightfall. Cut by hand from one sheet of metal, the piece wears a hammered black finish whose fine, pebbled surface softly picks up lamplight. Open spaces carve the stripes into the tower and shape the lantern room, the gallery rail and each gull's wings, while a solid outer ring frames the whole view like a ship's porthole. Mount it using small nails, double-sided tape, velcro, or magnets. Nautical wall decor for a beach cottage living room, the landing at the top of the stairs, a lake house den, a screened porch, a cozy reading nook, or a bedroom done in navy and white. It makes a meaningful gift for a lighthouse collector, a retired mariner, a newlywed couple with a home near the water, or someone who carries a bit of the coast along to every home.
